SECURITY POLICY
Bankrate understands your concerns with the safety of your personal information.
While no data transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can
be guaranteed to be 100% secure, Bankrate takes many steps to protect different
types of information you may provide to Bankrate.
For example, personally identifiable information you submit to Bankrate is password-protected for your privacy and security. Bankrate’s Web pages that ask for your personal financial information are delivered to your browser through HTTPS, a secure server communications layer. In certain areas, such as where you send your personal financial information, Bankrate uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions. This technology requires that you use a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
In addition, Bankrate deploys firewalls at several points in its environment. Firewalls are special purpose devices that protect and screen-out malicious attempts to access information and networks.
Please see the Agreement of Terms of Use for additional information.
